Baptism

Baptism is the first of the Sacraments and it is through our Baptism that we are made members of the Church.

Marriage
Marriage

Couples intending to get married in church are required  to give at least 3 months notice to their respective Parish Priest. 

Confirmation
Confirmation

Confirmation is celebrated during Mass each year in Raheen Church for Catholic pupils in St. Nessan’s N.S. and on a different day for Catholic pupils in Gaelscoil an Raithin.

The Eucharist
First Eucharist

This Sacrament is more commonly called Holy Communion. It is celebrated at every Mass. In order to receive this Sacrament one should be free from serious sin- if not, Confession is necessary before receiving.

Annointing of the Sick

This is another Sacrament which has been described by different names in our memory. Before the 2nd Vatican Council it was called ‘Extreme Unction’ or  ‘The Last Anointing’.
