This Sacrament is more commonly called Holy Communion. It is celebrated at every Mass. In order to receive this Sacrament one should be free from serious sin- if not, Confession is necessary before receiving.

One is also required to be fasting from food and drinks, except water and medicines, for at least one hour before receiving Holy Communion.

For those who are ill, the fasting time is reduced to 15mins.
